Attaching Landing gear mounting frame

A note from N. Ireland:

Dear all,
I suggest a way to attach the landing gear mounting frame
using a "Flexible Shaft" attachment to your drill, instead of
an angle drill which may not reach the lower bolt holes.
(And which costs from 75 to 200.)

I found that Taylertools sells the nearly perfect Flexible Shaft
for 12.80 plus VAT (Ref 23475), which accepts up to 3/16 " bits.
It is 30 mm diameter at maximum, and its handle is 160 mm long, and it is
900 mm long altogether. I had to reduce the handle to 130 mm by cutting it
with a knife, to fit the distance between the central tunnel walls.

It also allowed me to carefully pre-bore the final vertical holes in the top
arms, at the correct positions, BEFORE installing the frame, and to bore up
through the cockpit central tunnel top face, after installation. (Of course
I had to make sure that the pre-bored holes where in just the right
positions to allow the drill shaft to reach them from inside.)

I also had to use a shortened bit on the upper horizontal holes. (Which is
done by breaking a bit by hammering it sideways in a vice)

The flexible shaft reached the lower arm holes just perfectly, when
drilling through into the cockpit central tunnel.

I do not know more about Taylertools.
