Yes, I had to use a rudder trim tab.
On my first flight the aircraft flew 'hands off' but I noticed the slip ball
was not in the center. I used a small piece of hard balsa wood (trailing edge
stock used for model airplanes) and taped it on with masking tape to the
trailing edge of the rudder at the base. I kept trimming it until the ball
was in the middle.
Once set I set it in place with 5 min epoxy, filled the grain, primed it and
got my painter to paint it. So it was a kind of Flettner strip - most don't
notice it is there.
I noticed though once I had trimmed yaw I had to put another small one on an
aileron to counter a small roll.
