Anyone who has visited the Europa website in the last couple of days will have
noticed a "Hot News" announcement concerning our involvement in a new Discovery
Channel series titled "A Plane is Born"
The series kicked off on Sunday morning at 11.40am and is set to run for fifteen
weeks. It follows the ambitions of presenter Mark Evans as he sets out to build
and fly his own aircraft. After carefully researching the homebuild market,
Mark eventually chose a Europa XS Tri-gear as the aircraft that offered the
best balance of his requirements.
Never having flown a light aircraft before, the series also follows Marks
efforts
at gaining his private pilots license.
The series transmits initially on the UK's Discovery Channel "Home & Leisure".
It will also show on other Discovery channels, ie: Discovery, Discovery Wings
and Discovery +1. Next will be other European countries and eventually, North
America. As soon as scheduling information is available for other countries,
I'll
post it to the exploder. In the meantime, UK owners and customers should check
your TV listings for the latest information.
UK owners are in for a treat on December 28th, when Discovery will air the
entire
15 episodes consecutively. Make sure you have plenty of blank video tapes
available!!
