Constant flow port fuel injection Continental Motors style has a pressure
pump and variable valve to adjust/cutoff the flow to the divider/spider.
At the nozzle, which is sized/matched to the cylinder, the
aeration/vaporization air is introduced.
This air is drawn through a tightly packed screening/mesh and flows
primarily, bringing the fuel with it, during the intake stroke while the
port is dynamic.
This effect allows for a wide range of operating speeds
Again, the nozzle must be rated for cylinder volume and at a maximum flow
pressure, when at full throttle, and full rich - at redline.
Fortunately, we are not the first with the need.
Dunebuggy engines of 2200 cc are commonly injected by this most simple and
reliable method.
A 2200 cc four cyl has a cylinder displacement of 550cc.
So does a 3300cc six cyl.
I have every intention of installing a commonly available set of nozzles for
my hoped for 3300.
