This is precisely what is achieved with placing the contactor in the
starboard seat head - and you don't need a bowden cable.<

It is quite easy to mount a heavy duty battery master switch within easy
reach without resorting to a bowden cable. Master switches are relatively
simple devices and are not likely to cause problems with arcing that can
occur with contactors (especially with low voltages as discussed recently).
