Magnetic circuit breakers

Carlingswitch Inc. make good quality switch/circuit breakers suitable for
the Europa. They are magnetically operated with a choice of reaction
times, the fastest of which makes them ideal for the protection of
avionics. The combined switch function also saves weight, complexity,
unreliability and wiring time. Front panel exposure for the M series rocker
is about 20mm x 40 mm (bezel size) with the rocker 10 x 25.; the Visi
Rocker series shows a colour on the rocker when the switch is on. Mass is
30 grams for single pole version, rated life 10,000 operations at full
current. Behind panel space is 35mm high, 48.3 deep and 17.2 wide.

My choice is: single pole, Visi-Rocker, fastest trip time of 100mS at 150%
of rated current*, 1/4" spades, grey, red Visi bit, label ON and OFF.

The following trip currents are available (amps):

0.1, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 7.5, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 15, 18, 20, 25.

* on turn on this should give any avionics' decoupling capacitors enough
time to charge without tripping, but I intend to try to get hold of a
sample for trials (I have other applications).

This is all good stuff, but the downside is the price - RS charge about 12
each, inc. VAT, for 10 off. I reckon, to be safe, I would need 11
including an auxiliary (spare circuit for future kit), and 132 is too much
to pay just for cct. breakers, (well it is for a Yorkshireman).

I have been in touch with the UK distributor and if several of us join
forces, and buy in bulk, so long as they are the same model and options
(different trip ratings are of course permitted) he will give us good price
breaks; eg around 5.50 each for 100 off, inc. VAT

Anyone interested? The idea would be you send me lots of money and I keep
it. No. You initially e mail me your requirements (just nos. off first)
so I can get a price for the lot which I will post back to the forum.
Then you each send to me a stamped addressed Jiffy bag and a cheque and
I'll do the rest. Delivery time is 4-6 weeks from the distributor.

Let me know within a couple of weeks please.
