Tony:
The nearest builder to me is Dr. Chris Staines, adental surgeon,
with some considerable experience with composite sailcraft. He is about
one year ahead of me and has just finished his Europa, using the
PolyFiber system.
Chris is a confident, meticulous constructor - researches and
examines every technique, draws frequently upon specialists at the
nearby Diamond Katana factory and school and is voluble about successful
methods. When he finds success, he shares the skills.
He called me especially to extol the qualities of the Polyfiber
technique. The idea of water-based 'thanes intrigued me and I bought the
book as background ($10US - p86, JUN Sport Avn, p80, UAG KitPlanes). I
think it's worth the reading. Chris cut hos finishing time down to days
instead of weeks, and in some cases, hours.
He'll kill me for telling you he's at Canada, 519-473-0640, or
better his fax is 519-438-1199.
Happy Landings,
Ferg
