If it is an XS module I might think about doing all the fuel system up to
the electric pump. Not much room in there. I strongly recommend one of Andy
Phillips' gascolators as well as his fuel selector. Trouble with the little
glass filter is it blocks up too easily and is also prone to minute air
leaks. Either will prevent full (maybe even any) power and would give you a
nasty fright. I have already seen fuel pressure go to zero just before
turning onto the runway for departure. Too close for comfort. Glad that
particular airplane had a fuel pressure guage.
The Andair gascolator has a filter screen which allows debri to fall to the
bottom of the filter bowl, also water. They are developing a unit for
aircraft like the Europa so I will post price as soon as I have it. ( I
will stock and sell these parts.) Please don't pester Andair or their other
stockists.
