Gidday,

Could someone please explain the dimension 85 mm for the hinge location on
page 4-20? If the hinge is a 100 mm length, the reinforcement ply is 150 mm
long, the depth of the root closeout is 35mm as per the width of the TP3
root piece, this means the end of the hinge is in line with the web of the
root closeout, and the reinforcement ply being longer on each end than the
hinge, will need to be snipped and pushed around the root web, and laid up
onto the root flanges. In other words, if 85 mm is in fact the correct
dimension, the "extending" hinge reinforcement will have to go around the
corner onto the root web, and up the sides of the root flange. I would
imagine, whilst BID is very flexible I will need to snip it to have 3
perpendicular directions as you move from the top of the reinforcement ply,
down its 50 mm depth. I'm stuck until I get this verified, thanks in
anticipation!
