Hinge Pins. IMHO the problem with these is not ultimate or even fatigue strength but wear under intermittent and vibrating loads. After all the load on the pin is shared by 7 or 8 sections of the same pin. My eyeball feeling is that the Teflon will even out the load on the wire and greatly reduce the wear rate. Graham |
