Does anybody know about the petrol resistance of Airex Herex closed cell pvc
foam (code 70)?
We are intending to bypass the problems with the standard fuel tank by getting
one made of the above material, but the PFA want the petrol resistance
confirmed. Neither the manufacturer nor the distributor seem willing to put this
in writing (presumably because its going in an aeroplane), though its been used
in Longezes before now. The foam neither gains weight nor changes in dimension
when immersed in
petrol for a month.
