I agree with Martin J Tuck; bent leading edges are annoying.
This is what I did, When I microed the cores on I layed a long straight piece of
2" x 2" steel angle on the leading edge. Its weight was enough to hold the LE
straight. I bondoed a long piece of wood to the floor at the tip and drilled
through it into the end core for a 3" nail to jig the end core after checking
the datum line on the end "rib". The root rib was also stabilised.
Then after the skin layups were done, 6 or 7 hours for the two layers of UNI,
the angle was layed back onto the LE which by now was beginning to cure. The
leading edges were acceptably straight.
When you get to filling the surfaces with micro try to put enough on that you
don't have to go back and add micro onto micro, because that will cause
variations in the hardness of the micro. The first layer absorbs resin and gets
harder, making it sand in an uneven way. Saves waiting another day for it to
harden too.
Sand with light pressure using large splines and sharp paper. Allow the shape of
the surface to guide the spline and the spline to prevent waviness. High
pressure will deflect everthing, spline skin and foam.
