Great Job John,
The difference between a good airplane and a great airplane is the time
and detail put in by the builder.

You have done us all proud.

  Subject: Europa-List: G-JHKP first flight

I am pleased to announce that Europa XS mono G-JHKP (kit 536) had its
first flight at Dunsfold today in the capable hands of Pete Jeffers.
Thankfully the flight did not show up any significant problems. The
systems used on this short flight all worked, and the stall was benign.
"She is a good one" was Pete's verdict.

G-JHKP is powered by a Rotax 912S and has an Airmaster constant speed
propeller. Empty weight is 864lbs. Build hours add up to a staggering
3600 hours, spread over nine years. The aircraft was painted by Murray
Flint, who did a great job (see the attached pictures).

I would like to thank my inspector, Ron Speer, for the support he has
given me over the past nine years. I would also like to thank Brian
Davies for helping me to get the plane up to a standard where it was
ready for its final inspection.
