Jim,
I got some .25" aluminum tube about 12" long from the hardware. I and
slipped over the pin and "eyeballed" it. My pins were definitely bent and I
had a couple of goes at getting the parallel to the torque tube.
This exercise improved things a lot, but I still find one side a little
tight.
