As for the bolt, I replaced the one that was originally called for with a
drilled AN-45 Eye bolt (AC Spruce pg 77). I waited until I drilled the 5/16"
hole
for the tailwheel spring bolt, then measured the actual thickness of all the
plys and ordered the proper length with an MS17825-5 self-locking castle nut
(AC Spruce pg 84) and added a cotter pin to finish it off. I don't think this
is gonna come off on it's own. While it does stick out in the breeze by an
inch, it's too small to worry about.
