A strange way of not wanting to start an argument!
Are you quibbling about my use of the word 'hoax' not reflecting the
malicious intent?
I saw no reason to state the obvious.
Is this a 'disapproval' of my action in sending out the note?
If so, yours is the second negative response but the one 'thank you' far
outweighs any number of pointless gripes.
I kept it short, 'to the point' and I did not include the warning.
I did not ask anyone to 'pass it on'.
It came to me from a PFA Strut co-ordinator who had been 'taken in by it'.
He had sent it to many other flying types so I thought it likely to reach
the Europa net.
The 'Warning' claimed to be based on information from IBM
I am a retiree from IBM and still have good contacts there so it was easy
for me to verify my assumption that it was a 'false' warning.
My main purpose was to try to intercept further broadcasting of the
'malicious warning'.
My secondary purpose was to promulgate the URL of the IBM anti-virus web
site as a useful source of information for anyone concerned about computer
'viruses' (or should that be 'viri' ?).
N.B. I am NOT broadcasting this reply to the whole Europa & Bulletin nets
because there is no reason to do so!

I don't want to start an argument over semantics but these Email things are
not a hoax. Their objectiveis to flood your Email server with messages by
getting you (and everybody else) to forward the message.They are therefore
very successful albeit in a non-destructive way.
