A-51,
I have this material that I purchased a while back in an attempt to use
something
to reduce the noise in the cockpit. I never used it because this stuff is like
lead in sheets. Incredibly heavy at 0.7 lb/sqft (3.4 kg/sqm), if I did the
converting right. But it looks like it is what you used. I include a picture
of what I got. It's a butyl based insulation with foil. About 80mil (2mm) thick.
Is this close (at least in thickness) to what you used?
