Pete,
Refer to the manual. On XS, you adjust the bolts for the spacing with no load
and a new block. You actually set it up before installing in the plane I think.
As the block compresses with time it will actually get to the point where
the plates dont touch the block when adjusted to 79 mm and no load. With load
the block will work as a shock, but the height of the nose of the plane will
be less. I suppose you could get to the point where there is prop strike
danger.
Rule of thumb Ive been told is the top of the tire should be about an inch
below the fuselage.
