Pete,

Do a search on Matronics Europa for "exhaust AND weld" or "exhaust AND alloy" 
and
you'll get some ideas.  Perhaps early Classic exhaust were mild steel.  Later
ones stainless.  The alloy may be 309 and that is supposedly weldable with
308 rod.

I suggest you contact CKT Engineering (they advertise in The Europa Flyer) and
get their input.  They have manufactured exhaust for Europa.
