My last flight in N77EU was an aborted takeoff when RPM would not get over
4800. Returning to the hanger and chocking the wheel I got 5100 RPM and smelled
oil smoke on shut down so I removed the cowl to find upper right stud
on #2 cylinder had snapped off and was laying on top of the ignition wire so
Im sure it failed on the ground because it surely would have been lost had it
happened
in the air.
