Rowland I still feel bad about not stopping for a comfort break for you . T
he technical reason for my decision is that we were on an international fli
ght plan and I was not sure we could re plan when we landed at a unknown ai
rfield.
Of course that should not have been a problem if only I had been more exper
ienced at that time. I do recall your cries of anguish when having planned
a straight in approach at our destination we had to go around because a hel
icopter on first solo failed to move out the way in time, the thoughts you
had for that pilot matched your thoughts for your inconsiderate pilot. All
ended well after a very quick taxi to a convenient ! ! spot.

im Houlihan=99s G-BZTH when I drank a bottle of water while hanging a
round waiting for his flight plan to mature - and then omitted to make a pr
e-takeoff rudder inspection. The flight was only 2 hours but it seemed a lo
t longer! I could not persuade Tim to deviate from his flight plan for a co
mfort stop.

MUCH more comfortable, thanks to better preflight actions. I can=99t
remember how much fuel was left at landing, but we were both comfortabe wit
h it. 407.32 statute miles = 353.95 nautical miles, flight time 3:20.
