Hi Jon,

My starting point was with the rear pin sockets without the vertical hole for
the
pip-pin, the tie-bar with the smaller diameter spar pins/bushes and the matching
smaller diameter spar pins, installed (= MOD 74 but without the larger pins).

The new articulating sockets stand off of the fuselage a bit more than the old
ones - so unless this has already been done, you will need to install the new
sockets. Because of that you will also need to open up the wing to get at the
Nyloc nuts and adjust them to a new pin length. The re-rigging/checking wing
sweep etc to do that is probably the most onerous part of doing the MOD

Your inspector will know best of course (though i'm an engineer by profession,
i am not an inspector).

Detling eh - i grew up in Biddenden and know Maidstone fairly well.
