Hi Listers,

Sort of linked to the query from Gavin - has anyone used the VP-X Sport or
Pro Power solid state switch/circuit breaker units in a Europa or had any
thoughts about whether it clashes with any LAA requirements - as a minimum
it apparently addresses the trim motor failure mode and OVP protection - if
'legal' my main concern is whether the 1.9lbs weight will net out against
the circuit breakers and wiring that would otherwise be required when my
Europa will only have a simple VFR fit, no electric flaps and probably no
landing light?

Hi Paul,

Yes a couple of us here in New Zealand have used the mini power panel or
Sport Panel as it used to be called, it works well and slides in nicely
under the main panel as per the attached photos, I would recommend it for
simplicity

Hi everyone. Building a NG trigear & need some advice on avionics panel. To
simplify matters I was considering using a commercial power panel such as
the TRAYMOUNT EXBUS2V, LIGHTSPORT or MINI POWER PANEL as found in Aircraft
Spruce catalogue. Does anyone out there have any experience with these
units. Thankyou. Paul Munford
