Frans, Absolutely - you can get away with it, as I have on many occasions
with many other Europa friends. However extensive correspondence with the
Belgian CAA both by our LAA and personally has them insisting that it is
necessary to seek permission before flying a home built through Belgian
airspace. I only sought permission on one occasion when I was entering the
Dawn to Dusk Challenge and vesting all of Wellington's battle sites, and for
that you are required to sign to say that you have not broken any
regulations. The bill for 80+ euros was an unpleasant surprise! which I am
fighting. You have to assume that the FPL people and air traffic have better
things to do than sort through the small print of the regulations, but quite
what would happen if you have an 'incident' is another matter!
