Maybe I should rephrase my question. Instead of what the manual is saying,
what did people actually do with the uni? Is it really meant to be only on
the rear bulkhead only, with no overlapping onto the side bulkheads? If in
doubt, I am talking about the strengthening the baggage bay 'box' to be used
for the gear, and am really only looking for verification , of what others
have done, before doing the layup, so as not to mess it up. There might be
more than one way to do it. Any of my questions answered will help... So:
How many 'faces' of the 5 sided box have people put the 'uni' in when they
installed the gear? Hey, no question is a dumb question, if you're not quite
sure what the manual is saying, is it?

Hi all,

My question pertains to which surfaces are covered for strengthening, in the
baggage bay.

After searching the list, no answer was found. It makes me wonder what it
is, I am not seeing.

A) '2 plies of bid at +/-45 degrees over the entire area of the baggage bay
up to the level of the top of the central tunnel.'

This one seems self explanatory: 2 plies to 5 faces of the baggage bay:
front, rear, sides, and bottom.

B) (and my question #1)

'Next add 2 plies of 'uni', to the same height, onto the baggage bay rear
bulkhead from the sidewall to the central tunnel, with the fibres running
spanwise.'

#1 Does this mean uni is only on one face of the baggage bay (the rear
face), and no overlap on the two side faces or bottom face?

OR

Does this mean uni is placed on 3 faces of the baggage bay (rear and sides),
with no overlap to the bottom and front faces ?

OR

Something else??

#2 Is there any builder out there, that was able to massage the two plies
of BID over the whole of the baggage bay 'well', without any cutting or
folding?

I look forward to some help here,

Greg
