Hi Bob

That's ok then there are currently 40 litres in the boot of my car and thus
they must be legal as long as the cans stay out of the garage.

Regards

Pete

PS That's '10 gallons (ish)' and 'trunk' for those over the water!

Hi! Steve
Tesco at Market Rasen refuses to supply in 25litre plastic drums.
I just go to my local garage and he welcomes me with open arms
especially for cash transactions. I think you will find that the law
defines metal cans and you can only keep 2 gallons maximum on your
premises unless in a vehicle.
I would think that being their forecourt they set the rules. When I was
refused at MR I commented "You don't want business!" Whch just got a
shrug of the shoulders!

Dear UK Europa owners.
I have been refused the sale of Mogas at a Tesco petrol station in West
Sussex, on the grounds of using a clearly marked 20 litre fuel canister.
When I queried this, I was shown a West Sussex County Council Trading
Standards notice setting out that 20 litre containers are not acceptable

although 10 and 5 are as long as you only buy 15 litres at a time.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
In 2 + years of flying my Europa this is the first time I have had any
problems. I have used several Tesco and Shell garages without problem
and
indeed filled up with 60 litres at Tesco Winchester only 2 weeks before.
I have contacted Trading Standards to seek dispensation and the chance
of a
discussion on the subject.
I have also contacted AOPA.
