I have just replaced the original old-style little black starter on
my 914 with one of the new high-power starters. (SB-914-023)
I would be happy to offer the original starter, brand new, never
used, to anyone out there who needs a replacement starter for their
912 (80 HP). You may have it for the cost of shipping it to you.
I'd guess that it could be shipped just about anywhere for less than
50USD or 30UKP as it cost 25USD to get the new (heavier) starter to
me here in Texas from Florida. BTW, you will need to supply the two
european-style split lock-washers but otherwise all hardware bits
(spacers and nuts) come with it.
First come basis. I'll post to the list when someone has claimed it.
