Just got off of the phone with Craig Woolman (craigwoolman@nsiaero.com)
"formerly of NSI" ( new email address after Jan 1 ) and now with Max
Propulsion Systems (the new owners). According to Craig they have been
catching up on all of the NSI issues and trying to take care of the existing
customers who had issues (got burned) with NSI. He is the only NSI employee
left, all the others were fired by LaGrande Harris the new principle. They
also got rid of Dawn, the one who answered the phone and ignored all of us.
He said they are planning a new web site with lots of user/operator
information versus what we were used to at NSI. They are doing everything
on a time and materials basis for service and inspections. Their hourly
shop rate is $75.00. Craig estimated the cost to mod my blades will be
about 8 hours labor plus parts.

Because of our conversation I will be sending my Warp Drive blades back to
MPS to have the latest and greatest blade mods. I am also sending my CAP
140 hub back to them to inspect for serviceability. You ask why...well when
I purchased my Europa from Jim Nelson in 2004, he had removed the NSI prop
and installed a fixed pitch Warp Drive hub w/blades which is still on the
aircraft. Total, I have 3 sets of blades and 2 hubs. The NSI prop was
originally on one of the demonstrators in Lakeland then removed for an
Airmaster and was sold to Jim. He used the prop to get his aircraft
certified and thru the 40 hour fly off time.

So it sounds like we now have a source for parts and service for the CAP 140
prop and other NSI products. I would like to have those who are currently
flying a CAP 140 to contact me off line so that we can talk about
installation, balancing, and performance issues, because I will need lots of
tutoring.

Thanks for letting me ramble and hope this helps other CAP 140 current and
future owners.
