Depends on the tool i guess, mine "Parker Rolo-flair", ACS has a gauge, that
swings
in place when the tool is opened. Tube against it, close and tighten, drop
of oil, cone down, and the flare is perfect. No visible damage from the
tightening
either. The gauge, which looks like a hawk beak is visible on the picture
attached.
