I looked at the web page , but you need to tell us more about which device
you are looking at.
In my experience with LEDs you will need a defuser as a lens. Not a
reflector . The polished aluminum will not have light emitted toward it to
reflect.
An array of LEDs is what the auto industry is doing. I think the LED are
aimed in different directions. I have a marker light with a red defuser on
it that I just bought. Its going to be my night light in the cockpit.
