Congrats! See you and your new baby at Cranfield on Saturday!

(I don't want to pick up on a downside too much, but I'm very curious
about the allergy - I was wondering if you feel there was anything you
could have done differently to avoid it - i.e. just how careful were you
before it struck? I'm afraid I'm being rather paranoid for fear of this
affliction!)

Jeremy

Subject: First Flight G-RIKS

Big Panic to get to Cranfield but at last!!
G-RIKS, Tri Gear 912s PV50 871 lb with 11 lb in the tail, had it's
maiden
flight on the 11th June at Cambridge.
The incomparable John Brownlow was my test pilot and my emotions are
clear to
see from the shaking of the video I took of John taking off for the
first
time. Fortunately Tony Kay was also videoing with John's camera!
Joining John for the second flight was an amazing experience.
I must thank Barry Castle, my every patient inspector, Tony Kay for his
never
ending support and enthusiasm John Scott and his team at Cambridge for
the
near operating theatre standards of cleanliness at the workshop (!) and
their
limitless breadth of knowlege of all things to do with building planes
espescially as about three quarters through construction I was afflicted
by a
horrible case of allergy and had to enlist more of their help that
planned.
Thanks guys.
The people at Europa are brilliant - no ifs or buts brilliant. Last
but not
least Tricia - thanks love.
