I had the same problem with the metal inserts in the fuselage in a position too
high. I wanted to drill the lift pin holes in the wings in the center position
or even a bit higher to avoid repositioning the metal plates in the fuselage,
but: Neville of the Europa factory told me that in this case it would be
impossible
to fit the glider wings later on. Conclusion: Drilling the lift pin holes
in the center of the rib may be OK for the standard wings, but if you think
about adding the glider wings later, you must drill the holes below the center
position as per the manual!
