OOps sorry. I wasn't very clear about my problem. The difficulty I am
having is in attaching the completed ailerons to the
wings. I can find no way to hold the hinge flaps firmly whilst I fit the
machine screws into the stiff anchor nuts in the aileron hinges. Richard

Hi Richard,

Yes, this is a bit tricky. My solution required a steel dental probe with
a pointed, cranked tip. I tried to find a web link on UK Yahoo but I
ended back with a company in Georgia, see
http://store.inlandhobbytools.com/ . Their items 1030G or 1030E dental
picks look like the type I find most useful. Anyway, hobby shops in the
UK should stock them or point you in the right direction. My fix was as
follows :-

Adjacent to the ends of each hinge, slightly increase the hinge gap if
necessary to permit the dental pick to be inserted far enough to be able
to gently lift the hinge into position or close. Insert end screws and
engage a few threads on each. Now hold one or both of these screws while
you engage the remaining screws. You can now pull back or lift any screw
while you fully screw home another. The remainder are easy.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, John
