A few months ago I sent out an e-mail
saying that our CD player skipped due
to the engine / prop vibration and
asked advice from the group, with no
real solution forthcoming.
Recently I stopped by a stereo
shop that caters to the car crowd
that has the huge sub-woofers
with monstrous power amps driving
them. They also have problems with
skipping, a result of vibrations from their
huge sub-woofers.
I was told that the Sony player was
worst for skipping (this is what we
had in our panel), that the Alpine
was somewhat better, and that the
Pioneer was best.
I bought a $230 Pioneer CD player
---From them and installed it in our plane.
The skipping has stopped at cruise,
although it still skips some during acro.
I suppose I'll have to use an MP3 player
if I want music for acro.
