Technique for locating Mono Landing Gear mounting frame

I have cut away the firewall and underbelly, and have drilled the lower locating
holes to allow insertion of the mono landing gear frame into the tunnel at the
top, and into the cockpit alongside the tunnel at the bottom.

The question is - does anyone have a good way of locating the bolt holes in the
frame/tunnel so that they are on the centerline of the tubes, and accurately
positioned in the tunnel walls?

Because of the intersecting angles of the weldment at the top (inside the
tunnel),
pre-drilling the holes in the locations specified on the frame makes it
difficult
to transfer the hole location to the tunnel. On the other hand, 'Eyeballing'
the location by drilling through the tunnel first to mark the weldment
won't assure being on center or straight through.

On the top legs of the frame I am thinking of repositioning the holes so that
the
verticle holes are aft, and the horizontal holes are forward. This would allow
more room between the frame members to transfer punch(mark) the underside
of the tunnel top, for drilling the hole up from the inside.

Any collective wisdom on this?
