Terry Seaver has just messaged about CO and covering up the flap drive
slots.
I'd like to refer interested parties to visit the John Cliff Web page where
my G-PTAG flap close outs (Flap Slots Covers) are shown . The benefits of
these are also to provide a tapered tube which automatically guides the flap
drive pin to engage with the drive tubes, as the wings are pushed home.
Thanks Terry at least I now know they are something more useful than I had
expected.!
I still get a draught round my legs and can't find the point of entry, even
with all vents closed.

Just to update all those interested, I got hold of Andy Draper today to
discuss the problem of the Bungee Bump Stop conflicting with the aft "falls"
of bungee. I think he is running with my suggestion to turn the bump stop
tube upside down with a curved plate welded to the bare end to redux the
whole to the upper tube, effectively fixing the bump tube whilst the aft end
of the nose leg /collar does the bumping without the tube moving. The PFA is
still "thinking ".
Andy is including it in the next news letter .
However IMHO I suggest all trike flyers should check their aft lays of
bungee to establish if it is being damaged, before next flight..Unless of
course you are a clever sod and never have done or will do a heavy landing
!!!!! The place to examine is the two centre aft "falls" of bungee about 3"
---From the top, since this is where the bump stop tube needs to pass through
if the aircraft has a heavy landing which extends the
Bungee to reach the safety cable stop. Watch this space!
