For a scale I've been using an Ohaus Scout, 400g capacity unit with .1g
resolution. I would not get anything less than that. If you get 1g or 2g
resolution, for the smaller batches of epoxy, the potential to be
significantly out of proportion is high. I bought it from balances.com for
US$110, I think. They always have specials on balances. The digital balance
works slick with a mixing ratio chart. Just put the epoxy and hardner in
squeeze bottles and away you go. Fast and convenient.
For a level, we are just using a high quality carpenter level. I haven't seen
a need to use a digital, but if the need arises, I'll get one. The bubble
level takes more care and time, but I think the accuracy is just fine. That's
my opinion, of course.
