Hi! All, no doubt also Graham Singleton ,welcome back ,good to see you are
getting back albeit in small doses!
Spar Guide's ? I guess you mean rubbing strips/guides on the bottom edge
of the spar access holes ? If so I have reduxed some 1/2" thick tuffnol in
place which being friction low allows the spar to slide into place with a
slight upstand to keep the spar forward. With regard to the "cuff", which
is laid up around the port spar to strap the two spars together, it will be
always necessary to lift the spar over the aforementioned guide . To
determine the guide depth I suggest you wrap some cling film round the spars
then stuff a "wadge" of Bluetack of stiff plasticine in the gap under the
spar with the spar pins fitted ,PRIOR TO FITTING THE WING FILLETS, this will
give you a 'plug' of approximate thickness required and enable you to
measure it's approx.depth.

Steve,
do you have XS wings? I have installed "L" shaped spar guides, but when I
build up the 'strap' on
the spar tang (required for those with XS articulated rear lift socket), it
looks as if
it will foul on any guide that I could use. Have I missed something, or
does someone else have a solution?
