Trailer vs Main Wheel ?

Loaded the fuselage onto the trailer for the first time - another milestone!
The trailer is the zinc plated version and apparently requires a bit of
adjustment to properly secure the aircraft.

With the supporting rod adjusted to minimum length and the ramp in the up
position, the ramp fails to capture the gear arm by about 1/2 inch --
clearly, the support rods will require shortening. If the ramp is pushed up
without the rods in place, it can be made to overlap the gear arm by about
1/2 inch before compression of the tire interferes. The first question is,
how far must the arm overlap the ramp to ensure stability? Will a jack be
necessary to compress the tire to get the necessary overlap?

I switched to the McCreary 7.00X6 tire because the original tire rubbed on
the inside of the gear arm. This tire fits into the ramp loosely, with
about 5/8 inch space on each side. Should wooden spacers be fitted here to
ensure the fuselage remains vertical?

Also, the trailer's rear wing holders are very close to the lift pin sockets,
perhaps an inch clearance on either side. Suggestions on how to pad this to
prevent contact would be appreciated.
