Oil Pressure Gauge
Having got my panel installed I powered it up and noticed that my oil
pressure gauge was reading 100 psi (max).
Turn power off and it returns to zero. Hmmm!
Took the panel out and checked the wiring (thinking that I had the
polarities reversed) but all was well.
My gauge is a Mitchell one (in lieu of the VDO type).
Is this normal (i.e with the engine running the pressure is correctly
indicated having gone down from max after start), or perhaps the pressure
gauge not compatible with the Mitchell instruments, or something else.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.
