Door Annunciator

Subject: Door Annunciator

There was a discussion on this subject way back about June 97

Our own proposed cct is a simple audible alarm, active when ignition on,
which consists of a NO (Normally Open) micro switch operated by the
front shoot bolt, in series with a NC micro sw operated by the rear shoot
bolt on each door. The front sw operating slightly before the rear sw.
The two door ccts are connected in parallel. This way you get a beep as
each door is closed and an incorrectly closed door will cause the alarm to
sound continuously. (the rear bolt is the only one that is difficult to
ensure engaged properly) There is no sound when the doors are open with
the ignition on.

A horizontal pin protruding outwards from each door recess just under the
handle and engaging with a socket in the door would assist in aligning the
door in the frame when closing and prevent the door opening in flight even
if the rear bolt was not latched properly.
