According to Jon Goldbaum of Poly-Fiber your second statement is correct.
Silver Shield does not contain Aluminum and can be used with embedded antenna
systems.

Does anyone know whether PolyFiber's Silver Shield affects antenna
performance?

I have a brochure (Copyright 1996) put out by PolyFiber which states that
Silver Shield should not be sprayed over embedded antennas and that it
contains aluminum. It states that chemical UV blockers don't come close to
the performance of their aluminum sheild.

However in the '98 Aircraft Spruce catalog pg 36 it states that Silver Sheild
may be applied directly over embedded antennas with no problems and that it
contains no aluminum yet gives 100% UV protection.
