Saddening to post this, but I think this information is important to builders.
FAA
database says this Europa is registered to Perry Tankersley, and it (a
monowheel)
has a Subaru engine. A message elsewhere on the net reports pilot in serious,
but
stable condition following accident, per a Jacksonville newspaper. Fernandina
Beach
airport has paved runways, 5,000 feet or longer.
(following is National Transportation Safety Board posting of accident)
