Non Member Submissions from CompuServe Users
To all CompuServe Information System (CIS) users
Please re subscribe to the list using your new CompuServe e-mail address.
This is necessary because CompuServe now uses character e-mail addresses
(eg Peter_Thomas@CompuServe.Com). When CompuServe users originally
subscribed to the list CIS only allowed numeric ids (eg
100335.3566@compuserve.com). These still work but our list cannot tell that
the two ids relate to the same person.
Thus even though the list still sends mail to the numeric id (which CIS
translates), it rejects messages from people now using the character id as
a Non Member Submissions!
Remember the change to reject non-member submissions was made to protect
you from unwanted junk mail.
