Hi,

I noticed this in the July Edition of Australian Aviation
magazine:

AUSTRALIAN CIVIL AIRCARFT REGISTER UPDATE - NEW ALLOCATIONS

VH-UBD Europa 144 3/4/97 Hank Kauffmann, 22 Seamount Quay, Noosa
Waters, Qld, 4566

REGISTER REVIEW

"... Hank Kauffmann's Europa, UBD, is the first example of this English
designed kit aircraft to appear on the Australian register although at
least 18 more are in various stages of construction in this county. Using
many design features of a glider the Europa utilises a mono fuselage
mainwheel with two retractable outrigger wheels approximately halfway down
each wing. Power is from a Rotax 912 engine and the wings detach much
like a glider, for easy stowage and transport. Hank took two years to put
his Europa together taking approximately 950 hours and keeps it at his
home in Noosa Waters, Qld, trailering it to Noosa airstrip to fly."

Cheers,

rik
