Automobile leather gear shift knobs look good for u/c-flaps. Assymetric 
of course, but that leaves more room for the fingers as you go into that 
pokey recess. There are lots of smart plastic drawer knobs in DIY stores 
for door levers and brakes, and it is not difficult to place them back to 
back.
