I have a good bond everywhere except an are about 1.5 inches long but about 1/2 inch which is to say that I have 1.5 inches with just 1/4 inch of bond. This is on the forward edge of the door plexi.

Thanks. It sounds to me that silicone might even put pressure on the fuselage sides as the weight is taken by the wings. I am going to find some draught excluder and/or some glidertape. Many thanks -
