Firewall cut-out: As far as I know there is no good use for the firewall cut-out except for small in-fill pieces, e.g. where rudder pedals come through. Its not big enough to substitute for the stain

If you interpret "top" as "port" it all makes sense. Appears to be a typing error which has not been corrected ! 5mm-7mm is ok in practice for the top member, and a radius is easily filed on the wall
