Jeff, I've had the "mag" wires break at least 5 times in the 7 years / 500 hours I've been flying my 914. There is alot of vibration on the ignition modules which I suppose causes the breaks. Althoug

Paul, if you haven't already, check the hose clamp connection of the airbox hoses to the carburetor. These hoses have a way of vibrating themselves loose from the carburetor, thus causing the "boost"
