I've pasted below a treatise on this topic. Veracity: can't say, but he cites his sources. Suggests one needs to coat the parts internally also, but no coating on the 914 for the health of the turbo.

I found a time & hassle saving tip for using this stuff. Buy 5-minute epoxy that comes in a dual syringe. When used up (5-minute epoxy for the Europa is nonstructural), use it for the Araldite 2012.
